LECTURE: Tomasz Fudala (Museum of Contemporary Art in Warsaw)

“The Museum as a New Neighbor in the District”

The lecture will begin with a short address by H.E. Mr. Mariusz Brimora, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to North Macedonia.

Tomasz Fudala, curator and historian of art and architecture, comes from the newly built Museum of Contemporary Art in Warsaw (MSN Warsaw) – an institution that, after almost two decades of working in temporary spaces, finally got its own permanent building in the city center, on Plac Defilad. In the lecture, Fudala will talk about the development of the museum as an institution, the architecture of the new building and its connection to the urban transformation of Warsaw. He will also touch on the Warsaw Under Construction festival, which MSN has been organizing since 2009 as a platform for critical thinking about the city, space and planning.

The event is held with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Skopje and is part of the program of the XXII Biennial of Macedonian Contemporary Architecture.
